數小時前，曾於新屋嶺被警察性侵和虐待的中大女生，哭求校長譴責，她更除低面罩，哭訴被警察拘捕時被虐待的經過。有關影片被剪出來，然後在不同的傳媒和社交網絡瘋傳。香港警方竟然決定在深夜突然出聲明，稱沒有接獲在新屋嶺扣留中心被性侵的投訴，更稱會主動聯絡事主，令不少網民擔心這位中大女生的安全。

警方留意到今日（十月十日）晚上，在一個大學對話會中，一名女學生指稱被警方拘捕後，曾在新屋嶺扣留中心被警員性侵。
警方非常重視上述嚴重指控。直至目前為止，投訴警察課並沒有接獲在新屋嶺扣留中心被性侵的投訴。警方將會主動聯絡事主，希望她提供實質證據，讓警方作出公平公正的調查，盡快找出事實真相。
The Police are aware that in a dialogue session held in a university tonight (Oct 10), one female student claimed that after being arrested, she was sexually assaulted by Police officers when she was detained in the San Uk Ling Holding Centre.
The Police accord high priority to such a serious allegation. So far, the Complaints Against Police Office has not received any complaint of sexual assault related to the San Uk Ling Holding Centre. We will proactively contact the female and appeal to her to provide concrete evidence so that we can launch a fair fact-finding investigation as soon as possible.
